Regardless of the juice fast, it’s not going to steer me away from cooking up a storm for my flatmates; both of which went on their merry way to work with their lunches packed tight with these delights today. My inspiration for todays treats comes in its own unique way; I found myself channeled into a passing phone conversation in the street which combined the words “sweet, pepperoni pizza?” and decided to play on that encounter with sweet pepper pizzas. Thanks trendy guy with a beard at Elephant and Castle!
As a frequent meat eater, I would usually be wagered towards dousing these pizzas in all the delicious meat south London can provide me, however on this occasion (mainly thankful to the trendy beard guy) I decided against it and went for a vegetarian option;
One thing I will say is MAKE YOUR OWN DOUGH – It’s the most satisfying part and you certainly won’t be leaving any of those hair curling crusts. I used my own chilli seed and olive dough recipe for these pizza bases which you can check out here.
So when it comes to the weekend and you’ve tippled one too many Friday night shandies, don’t resort to your nearest take-out. Put down the phone, you’re better than that!
(DISCLAIMER: I am not uncondoning the act of ordering take-out pizza, I love take-out pizza)
